Bus Shelter Blues [17/365]

This ad has been in a bus shelter for over a month now, and every time I pass it I have feelings of mixed emotions.  There is no arguing that there is a crisis when it comes to the relationships sons and daughters have with their fathers.  I know that was the catalyst for this advertisement.  It’s simply a sad state of affairs that it needed to be created.  Having to remind fathers to “take time to be a dad today” makes me cringe.  Take time?  Only today?  This ad concept would never have even been pitched if you swapped the word “dad” for “mom.”  Just my two cents.  I’ll get off my soapbox now.
